The coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic has created an exceptional situation which has caused challenges related to the availability of packaging materials and raw materials. Hand rubs will temporarily contain less gelling agent and also the pumps of 500 ml hand rub pump bottles are temporarily replaced with press-top/fliptop caps.
The coronavirus epidemic has created an exceptional situation which has caused challenges related to the availability of packaging materials and raw materials. To ensure the widest possible availability of our hand hygiene products we have made changes to the composition and packaging of some products.
There are major difficulties in sourcing the gelling agent normally used in our hand rubs. As a result, our product development department has temporarily modified the hand rub manufacturing process to make the composition of the hand rubs more liquid than normal. The active substances and conditioning ingredients in the hand rubs remain unchanged. For the user, the only noticeable change is in the consistency of the hand rub – the effectiveness and conditioning properties have not been affected. In the delivery of orders, we have prioritised healthcare customers, which is why there is currently a queue for deliveries to other customers. In order to deliver products to the market in sufficient amounts and to serve all customers faster, we have increased the number of work shifts and hired additional employees in our production. With these measures, we want to ensure that our hand hygiene products continue to be available on the market and thus prevent the spread of pathogens through the hands.
The pumps of 500 ml hand rub pump bottles temporarily replaced with press-top/fliptop caps
We have previously notified that there are problems with the availability of pumps. To ensure the continued availability of important products, we have made a decision to temporarily prepare some 500 ml bottle-packed products with a press-top/fliptop cap. if desires, the pump of an empty disinfectant hand rub can be safely used with the new 500 ml bottle to replace the press-top cap.
