You can enhance the fire properties and fire-resistance rating of natural fibre-based insulation by treating it with Kiilto’s I-series Fireproof flame retardant. Kiilto Fireproof flame retardants are mostly bio-based* and do not affect the appearance of materials it is used with.
Treating insulation materials with Kiilto Fireproof flame retardants can improve its fire properties and fire-resistance rating. Fireproofed insulation is mainly used inside walls or as a final surface, such as acoustic boards. Treatment with Kiilto flame retardants can enable up to EN 13501-1 Class B fire performance

Kiilto Fireproof I-series flame retardants are single-component, water-soluble, pH-neutral and industrially applicable products for natural insulation materials.
