Kiilto launches change negotiations as part of its operating model renewal

Over the past year, Kiilto has been renewing its operating model and reviewing its organisational structure. To strengthen its competitiveness and ability to invest in a challenging international business environment, Kiilto will begin change negotiations on 2 September 2026.

At the end of 2025, Kiilto announced that it would combine Kiilto Group, KiiltoClean Group and Kiilto Family into a single Kiilto Group. Since the new organisation began operating, the company has identified ways of working and structures that can be simplified and harmonised, as well as functions and roles whose resourcing should be more strongly focused on Kiilto’s strategic priorities.

“Our goal is to ensure Kiilto’s competitiveness, sustainable growth and ability to invest in the future. The planned changes are part of a broader transformation process that was initiated earlier and will help us ensure that we continue to serve our customers in the best possible way going forward,” says Anssi Asikainen, CEO of Kiilto Group.

The change negotiations will begin on 2 September 2026 and are expected to conclude no later than 27 September 2026. The planned changes concern the entire organisation. Kiilto employs approximately 730 people in nine countries, around 460 of whom work in Finland.

In the short term, the change negotiations may result in the termination of 40 employment contracts. In addition, some of the planned measures would require longer-term planning and investments. The long-term personnel impact could lead to the termination of 21 additional employment contracts.

“We will continue to serve our customers as normal throughout the process, and the plan does not include any changes to our customer offering related to our own production. There are also no plans to move production or jobs abroad,” Asikainen says.

“We want to clarify responsibilities and focus our resources on activities that best support the company’s future development. We understand that the planned changes may create uncertainty among our employees, which is why we consider open and constructive dialogue throughout the process to be essential. We will also keep our customers and other key stakeholders informed of any changes that may affect their operations,” Asikainen emphasises.
