Instructions for use

Suitable substrates are steel-trowelled concrete, plywood, chipboard, cork board and wooden floor. Substrate must be dry, solid, smooth and free from dust and other materials that might impair adhesion. Remove the cement skin by sanding and vacuuming the dust prior to gluing. Concrete subfloor can be levelled with a Kiilto parquet subfloor levelling compound, if needed. (Levelling does not form a suitable subfloor for parquets over 22 x 70 x 500 mm.) Adhesive strength in tension of concrete and levelling compound must be 1.5 N/mm² at the minimum. If gluing on board, we recommend using min. 9 mm plywood board or similar. Follow also the parquet manufacturer's instructions and any applicable national regulations (in Finland SisäRYL 2013, the RYL Code of Building Practice). A hard adhesive reduces any dimensional variations caused by the moisture movement in wood, but at the same time it enables movement stress on the substrate.

Mix resin and hardener thoroughly just before use according to the given ratio. Spread the adhesive with a notched trowel on a surface of max. 1 m² and lay the parquet immediately onto the fresh adhesive surface. Check that a uniform adhesive layer is formed between the board and the substrate, but no adhesive bursts out from between the parquet boards. We recommend not sanding the parquet until 1 hour has passed of the gluing having been carried out. Fresh adhesive stains can be removed with acetone or xylene, dried adhesive only by mechanical means.
