Kiiltomelt W 402 is a hot melt adhesive for edgebanding in automatic edgebanding machines. The adhesive can be used also as precoating hot melt. It is suitable for bonding melamine, polyester, ABS and PVC tapes/edges, as well as veneer tape, laminate, and solid wood edging.

The adhesive is melted in the melting tank.
The machine feed speed should be adjusted to a minimum of 18 m/min. If the feed speed is lower than recommended, the adhesive temperature at the application roller should be increased to prevent the adhesive from cooling too much before the pressing stage.
For longer production breaks, the adhesive temperature must be lowered, as otherwise the bonding properties and flow characteristics may deteriorate.
