Instructions for use

The substrate must be dry, firm, even and free from dust and adhesion-impairing substances. Generally, levelling of concrete substrates with a suitable low-alkaline levelling compound from Kiilto is recommended.
Important! When installing on top of existing material, ensure that the material is suitable as a substrate. Installation on top of older existing plastic carpet is not recommended, high risk of plasticizers migration.
Note! For areas with castor wheel traffic, the substrate should have a surface tensile strength > 1.0 MPa. Always follow the flooring manufacturer’s recommended installation instructions for removable textile and vinyl coverings with tape effect.

Working method:
- Shake well before use.
- Apply adhesive with a short-haired roller or steel trowel. Use enough adhesive to get a good adhesion.
- Install the covering when the adhesive has reached the working time tacky gluing.
- Roll/press the material firmly.

Absorbent substrates can be primed with Kiilto Start Primer diluted 1/4 primer/water to prolong the working time.
Note! If floor covering is installed with wet bonding it becomes permanent installation.
When the textile tile backing is weak, the adhesive needs to be diluted with 5% water so the tile can be replaced without breaking.

CLEANING
Fresh adhesive is removed with water. Old adhesive can be removed by applying an alkaline cleaner PH 8-12 to the adhesive. Let the cleaner take effect for about 10-15 minutes. Remove the softened adhesive by hand or with a low speed scrubber and rinse the surface with clean water. Repeat treatment if necessary.
When cleaning an old coating, ensure that the substrate can withstand an alkaline cleaning. Finish by rinse the surface with clean water. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and dosage.
