Application

Kestopur FP 35-25 is a 2-component, solvent-free, fire classified polyurethane adhesive that forms a very strong adhesive joint and does not contain halogenated flame retardants. Kestopur FP 35-25 is used in conjunction with Kestopur 200/S hardener. Kestopur FP adhesives have the marine industry's IMO Resolution MSC.61 (67) Part 5 fire classification tested in accordance with the 2010 FTPC, Annex 1 Part 5 and a MED certificate (so-called Rudder Mark). Adhesive has an M1-emission classification for building products. Suitable for e.g. gluing of metals, insulation materials and fiber composite. Kestopur 35-25 is ideal for automatic application.

Instructions for use

The surfaces to be bonded must be clean and dry. Remove oxides by sanding, grease etc. dirt with a solvent or by sanding. Stir Kestopur FP 35-25 resin and add hardener by mixing properly. Apply adhesive one- or two-sided with a roller, trowel or other application tool. Remove fresh adhesive stains with a dry cloth and clean the surfaces with Kestopur Cleaner 302, acetone or xylen. Cured adhesive can be removed only by mechanical means. We recommend gluing at room temperature. Gluing can be carried out at below room temperature (+5–10 °C), but the hardening process will be slower and application may be affected.
