Materials
Kestopur 400/4 is a two-component, solvent-free, PU adhesive which gives a strong, yet elastic bond. Kestopur 400/4 is ideal for automatic application. Used in conjunction with Kestopur 200/S hardener. Kestopur 400/4 is suitable for the gluing of e.g. wood, paper and different types of metals and insulation materials. Adhesive's special feature is good oil resistance in higher temperatures. Recommended maximum operating temperature in continuous oil exposure is approx. 100 °C; in instantaneous oil exposure 140 °C.

The surfaces to be bonded must be clean and dry. Remove oxides, grease and other dirt with solvent, Kiilto Cleaner 303 and/or by sanding. The properly cleaned surface can be sanded to improve adhesion. Remove the sanding dust carefully prior to adhesive application. Kestopur 400/4 resin is stirred before use. Add Kestopur 200/S hardener to the resin, and mix until a uniform colour is achieved. Apply adhesive one- or two-sided with a spreader or other application tool. Fresh adhesive stains are removed with a dry cloth and surfaces are wiped with acetone, xylene or Kiilto Cleaner 302. Cured adhesive can only be removed by mechanical means. We recommend carrying out the gluing at room temperature. However, the gluing can be carried out at lower temperatures (even at +10 °C), but then the hardening process will be significantly slower and spreading properties will suffer.
