Our research, development and innovation unit in Lempäälä is looking for an  

RDI MANAGER for the Construction business area 

 

The position

You will be responsible for the development and quality of cement-based products in a multidisciplinary team of experts. You will work internationally in close collaboration with our other RDI units and stakeholders, and will manage and work with development projects on products and services. To thrive in this role, you will collaborate fluently in diverse business environments. You have a keen interest in and understanding of cement chemistry, and experience in construction is an added benefit.  

The job will enable you to influence the future of the Kiilto Construction business, making it even more efficient and environmentally friendly. You will participate in developing the entire value chain, from the procurement of raw materials to the end customer. In line with Our Promise to the Environment, you will be closely involved in Kiilto’s work to create the greenest products on the market and continue its environmental leadership.  

In this newly created role you will work in an enthusiastic and motivated RDI unit of around 40 people in Lempäälä within a growing international company. Our RDI personnel are analytical and inventive, and you will share and apply these qualities. You will report to the Head of RDI, Construction. 

 

Ideally, you will have the following background:  

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (a mandatory requirement)   
  • A sufficient understanding of chemistry to apply your knowhow and a willingness to learn more  
  • A keen interest in understanding the field and solving problems  
  • A customer-oriented attitude   
  • The ability to work independently towards your goals in a busy and dynamic environment   
  • A talent for prioritising and focusing on the essentials  
  • The ability to think innovatively and develop ideas into practical applications  
  • The readiness to work in a laboratory  
  • Fluent English and Finnish
