Instructions for use

Sealing structural air leaks: Ensure that the surfaces are dry, dust-free and free from grease and oil. When sealing structural air leaks, apply Kiilto A 215 to the joint with a dual cartridge gun and shape it with a trowel. If necessary, Kiilto Pro Keraprimer or Kiilto Pro PrimerOne may be used to prime the surface. If used in combination with Kiilto Pro Keraprimer or PrimerOne, the product cannot be used for structural adhesion of glass fibre or metal.

Industrial applications: Clean any metal and glass surfaces with Kiilto Cleaner 303 and treat them with Kiilto Primer or Kiiltoflex Metal Primer. Ensure that all materials have been pre-treated correctly and to an adequate degree before starting the actual adhesion process.

Kiiltoflex A 215 and Kiiltoflex B 615 are mixed with a weight ratio of 10:1. Apply the product onto the surfaces that you wish to seal and shape the surface e.g. with a trowel. For adhesion, apply the product onto one of the surfaces to be attached to one another and press the surfaces together. For larger surfaces, we recommend using a low pressure press, for example. Uncured adhesive can be removed with xylene or acetone. Once cured, the adhesive only be removed mechanically.

Due to its cartridge packaging, a special dual cartridge gun is required for applying this product. For example, the Sulzer/Cox ElectraFlow Dual VBE 400 MR is a good option. For more information on the cartridge gun and other options available, see detail T61 in the document bank.
