A two-component, cement based adhesive with long pot-life suitable for installing Kiilto KeraSafe+ Foil. The product is also suitable for sealing foil overlaps and fastening Kiilto Inlet reinforcement sheets and pre-fabricated corner pieces.

Mixing:
Carefully mix (for at least 2 min.) the liquid and the powder (mixing ratio 60:40 by weight) until an even mass is formed. Note! The powder is always added to water by sprinkling. The pot-life of the ready mixture is approx. 6 hours (depending on the prevailing conditions), so mix only the amount that can be used within that time. Do not dilute a mixture that has started to harden.
Walls:
Apply Kiilto KeraSafe Dual on the substrate on an area that covers one foil: angles, corners and wall surface. Place the KeraSafe+ Foil in position and see that in corners the foil stretches 5 cm over to the next wall and 5 cm over the floor. Press the foil tightly onto the substrate and rub into position with a rigid plastic trowel so that all air is pressed out and the foil is fully adhered to the substrate. Use Kiilto KeraSafe Dual adhesive for gluing the foil overlaps.
Floors:
If necessary, sand and/or smooth uneven substrates with Kiilto floor levelling compound. Prior to KeraSafe+ installation, prime the dry floor with Kiilto Keraprimer or Kiilto PrimerOne, if necessary. Note! Priming slightly prolongs the open time of the adhesive when applied to the surface. Let the primer dry at least 1 hour before spreading Kiilto Pro KeraSafe Dual adhesive and installing KeraSafe+ Foil. Lay a self-adherent Kiilto KeraSafe reinforcement sheet on the floor drain. Apply Kiilto KeraSafe Dual adhesive on the floor, lap joints and over the floor drain reinforcement sheet. Roll out the foil and press into position to get all the air out. Apply Kiilto KeraSafe Dual around inlets and press suitable prefabricated inlet reinforcements into position. Glue pre-fabricated internal and external corner reinforcement pieces in place with Kiilto KeraSafe Dual. Apply Dual adhesive also on inlet reinforcement pieces and corner pieces. Prior to tiling, cut a hole (approx. 60 mm smaller than the diameter of the drain) for the floor drain in the foil and mount the clamp ring. It is recommended to use the cutting tool and stencil specified by the floor drain manufacturer. Note! After gluing the foil wait until the next day before mounting the clamp ring.
