Instructions for use

A specimen is collected by pressing the Hygicult disk directly against the tested surface, by transferring the specimen to the culture medium with a cotton swab or dipping the disk in a fluid.

The disk is incubated at +35–37°C for 24–48 hours. The result is read by comparing the growth density with a model chart. Enterobacteriaceae grow as red colonies on the disk.

Environment and safety

Hygicult has no adverse effects on the tested site; the sampling site can be used normally also after sampling.

Review the instructions for use in the package carefully.

Do not use the product if
- there are colour changes or drying in the culture medium
- the culture medium has separated from the disk
- there is microbial growth in the culture medium

The growth should not be touch because colonies growing on the culture medium may be infective.
