Dermades is an ethanol based ready-to-use skin disinfectant suitable for disinfection of the skin before surgery and small procedures such as cannulation.
Dermades skin disinfectant has a long-lasting microbicidal effect, so it is also suitable for disinfection of the surgical site before long surgeries. The immediate and long-term efficacy of the product has been tested by the CEN surgical test EN 12791.

Room temperature. Shelf life 3 years from manufacturing.
Surgery: Observe aseptic technique. The area of skin to be disinfected before surgery is carefully and systematically wiped with a skin disinfectant. The area to be disinfected is treated 2 to 3 times. Note the flow direction. Coverage of the surgical area is performed after the alcohol has evaporated from the skin.
Small operations: Before inserting the cannula, injecting and taking blood samples, wipe the skin area sufficiently with a disinfectant. The procedure is performed when the treated area has dried.

Product is biodegradable. Package is made of PE-HD plastic, which is environmentally friendly, fully recyclable material, may be disposed of by burning.
When it is desired to delimit the surgery area, a colored disinfectant is used. If necessary, the color can be lightened by mixing a colored and a colorless disinfectant.
