We are looking for a  

QA/QC Manager  

for our Professional Hygiene and Consumer Goods business areas  

About the position 

In this role, you will be in charge of the administration, implementation and development of quality assurance operations in all of Kiilto’s company functions in Finland. You will supervise the quality assurance and quality control team and have overall responsibility for Kiilto’s quality control laboratory facilities. You will implement, train and continuously improve the ISO 9001, ISO13485 and MDR-compliant quality system in Kiilto, and also perform internal and supplier audits and management reviews and ensure compliance with Kiilto’s process documentation and complaint handling procedures. You also have knowledge of chemical legislation standards and other relevant guidelines in areas such as cosmetics and halal and kosher products and practices, and are able to assess their impact on Kiilto’s needs.    

You will work internationally in close collaboration with Kiilto’s global QA and regulatory specialists at other locations in Nordic countries and with other key stakeholders, applying best practices. You will report to the Group Research, Development and Innovation Director. The location of this position is in Turku, but some travel will be required. Although Kiilto follows a hybrid working model, the work requires regular onsite presence.  

Main responsibilities   

  • Implementation, training and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001 and ISO13485 management systems in all of Kiilto’s functions  
  • Part of Kiilto’s MDR compliance team  
  • Coordination of internal and external audits  
  • Coordination of QEHS groups and reporting to management   
  • Supervision of QA and QC technicians  
  • Overall responsibility of QC laboratory facilities   
  • Part of the halal and kosher compliance team  

Suitable professional background   

  • Master’s degree or similar in life sciences or technology  
  • At least three years’ experience in quality assurance and control  
  • Working experience as team supervisor  
  • Fluent Finnish and English  
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills  
  • Project management skills  
  • Knowhow of statistical methods is a plus, as is knowledge of production processes
