Kiilto makes logistics acquisition to complement comprehensive ‘floor as a service’ concept

Kiilto is obtaining logistics and pumping equipment expertise by acquiring a majority share in Kangasalan Pumppauskeskus Oy. The acquisition enables the agile and comprehensive development of the service concept, which aims at a nationwide network of floor contracting in Finland. 

Strong partner network being planned  

Kiilto aims to further strengthen its ‘floor as a service’ concept in its construction business area. The company is therefore actively seeking partners from its customer base of floor contractors. Future plans include a partner network serving construction companies smoothly throughout Finland.  

“We want to expand and deepen our cooperation with our existing floor-contractor customers. By joining forces to form a network, we are confident that we can keep up with the intensifying competition, growing into the best partner for construction companies as a provider of floor-levelling compound solutions in Finland,” explains Miikka Haapa-aho, Business Area Director for Kiilto construction, shedding light on future plans. 

Towards deeper cooperation with customers 

In recent years, Kiilto’s construction business acquisitions have been systematically aimed at developing the customer-oriented service business, strengthening Kiilto’s floor as a service concept, and transforming the concept into a network-like direction. Kiilto wants to offer customers the opportunity to buy pumpable screed transported and pumped on-site, while providing construction companies with comprehensive contracts. 

”The acquisition will enable us to improve the delivery reliability of pumpable screeds and the quality of the overall service. The development of the new type of service ecosystem, based on collaboration between us and our floor-contractor customers, is an interesting new direction in the Finnish construction industry. We took the model from Sweden, where we already have this type of business,” says Haapa-aho. 

Kangasalan Pumppauskeskus Oy’s current customer relationships and agreements will be handled as agreed. In the future, Kiilto will act as a contract partner for construction companies and floor-contractors.
