In 2019, Kiilto became the leading supplier of hygiene solutions in the Nordic countries, and the number of Kiilto personnel increased by over 100. The acquisition strengthens Kiilto’s position as an international supplier of cleanliness and hygiene solutions in Sweden, Norway and Denmark in addition to the current operating areas. As part of the close cooperation, the first professional hygiene Kiilto Pro products were launched on the Scandinavian markets.
Solutions to conquer Scandinavia
“This year it is time to bring the results of Kiilto’s 100 years of research and development to our western neighbours, Sweden, Norway and Denmark”, says Kiilto marketing manager Arja Seppälä.
Scandinavia already has extensive expertise when it comes to disinfection and personal hygiene, and our solutions will supplement and broaden the range of products on offer. “We have become the market leader in Finland by developing and delivering high-quality solutions, while at the same time setting bold environmental goals. We are now pursuing the same growth in the Scandinavian markets, and we will continue to be a local player with an international group’s strengths”, Seppälä continues.
Above all, growth enables further investment in product development, having a positive effect on the environment and serves our customers more comprehensively.
Interesting opportunities ahead
Early February 2020 saw the launch of the first Kiilto Pro products in Scandinavia. According to Kiilto business area director Juha Suoniemi, interesting and large-scale opportunities lie ahead for the company.
“The first phase involves the launch of our kitchen and professional hygiene solutions”.
There is a solid common basis for growth: expertise, high quality, understanding of customers and sustainable development are also driving forces in the other Nordic countries. In addition, the strong and well-known brands in Scandinavia–DAX, Antibac and Plum–will expand their local overall offerings. The production plant in Assens, Denmark adds to Kiilto’s manufacturing capacity. New products will also be launched on the Finnish market. The first new products are the WipeClean series of ready-use cloths.
