Instructions for use

Mixing: Kiilto Pro Core powder is poured into cold, clean water using an electric stirrer (mixing ratio: 5 kg powder and 1.2 - 1.3 l clean water) and let dissolve in water for 1–2 minutes and re-stir once again. The mix must be used within 30-45 minutes. Grouting: Spread the mortar with a rubber trowel diagonally over the joints by filling and strongly pressing the joints with mortar. Let dry until the mortar no longer sticks to fingers (usually for 15–30 min.) and then clean with a damp sponge. The drying time depends on the tile, substrate, joint dimensions and prevailing conditions. Too early cleaning or excess water may cause discolouring of joints. Dispose of dirty washing water regularly and replace with clean water to get more even joints and to minimise limescale. After the mortar has dried, clean the surface with a dry cloth or cotton waste. Moisten the joints with clean water (for example, by spraying) for 1–3 times during the first 24 hours to allow sufficient joint firmness. For seaming corners and inlets use Kiilto Saniteettisilikoni.

Note! It is recommended that unglazed tiles are moistened before grouting. When installing porous tiles, test beforehand to see how the mortar washes off from the tile surface. Avoid colours that differ greatly from the colour of the tiling. When grouting soap rock or other porous materials, carefully follow the tile manufacturer's instructions.

Additional information

Although the product itself does not form efflorescence, the water migrating in structures may contain salts that can accumulate to the surface of the seam as the water evaporates. But it is only a cosmetic imperfection, and does not affect the product’s performance in any way.

Acidic detergents may damage the cement used as a binder of the tile grout. When using them, neutralization with an alkaline detergent is recommended.

Due to the manufacturing technique of colour samples, there might be slight differences between the sample and the actual joint. To avoid colour difference, the grout bags should have the same lot number.
