Instructions for use

The surfaces must be dry and free of grease. Sanding of the surfaces improves adhesion. Grease can be removed with acetone. Mix equal amounts of resin and hardener. Pot life of the mix is 4–5 minutes at +20 °C. Mix the components properly, e.g., with a wood stick on a cardboard piece. Glue is applied two-sided or one-sided provided that the surfaces, when pressed together, are so close in contact with each other that even the non-applied surface is wetted properly. Fit the pieces together immediately. Usually no pressing is needed. Keep the pieces in place using some sort of temporary fixing until the glue has cured (approx. 10 min. at +20 °C). Final bond strength is reached approx. after 12 hours. The lid of the resin and hardener nozzles is designed so that it fits in one position only, thus preventing the formation of glue gobs in the nozzles. Kiilto Pikaepoksi is not suitable for the bonding of vinyl or polyolefin plastics or when coming into contact with hot water. Fresh glue stains can be removed with a scraper or wiped off with a cloth. A cloth moistened with acetone removes fresh glue completely. Cured glue can only be removed by mechanical means.
