Cleaning instructions for linoleum floors

Linoleum remains clean for a long time with just daily cleaning. When cleaning linoleum, it's important to avoid excessive use of water and alkaline substances.

Initial cleaning of linoleum floors

Remove loose dirt by vacuuming or dry or damp mopping. Apply Kiilto Pro Vieno all-purpose cleaning solution, diluted at a rate of 5 ml per 1 litre of water. Clean the floor with a scrubber dryer using the indirect method and a red pad.

If there is a lot of construction dust on the floor, rinse the surfaces after floor cleaning with a solution of Kiilto Pro Kasperi, diluted at a rate of 1-2 ml per 1 litre of water or Kiilto Pro Rosita, diluted at a rate of 5 ml per 1 litre of water. If you use a scrubber dryer to remove construction dust, choose a red pad. Vacuum up the solution and let the floor dry.

If necessary, polish the clean and dry floor with a care agent.

Daily cleaning of linoleum floors

For the daily cleaning of linoleum, only two products are used. Kiilto Pro Vieno suits both machine and manual methods, ensuring the floor’s cleanliness. Kiilto Pro Illusia 10 on the other hand is used periodically as a care agent. Regularly cleaning with a care agent prevents dirt from adhering to the surface and facilitates daily cleaning.

Surface cleaning of linoleum floors

Surface cleaning or basic cleaning is performed when the floor has become ingrained with dirt and wear that cannot be removed by daily cleaning. For normally soiled areas, the slightly alkaline Kiilto Pro Vieno all-purpose cleaner can still be used, although possibly with an increased dosage (5 ml per 1 litre of water).

Clean the surface with a single disc machine or a scrubber dryer using an indirect method. Use a red pad.

Moist wipe or run the scrubber dryer with clean water afterwards.
