Instructions for use

Substrate must be dry, solid, smooth and free from dust and grease. We recommend smoothing the concrete substrate with a suitable Kiilto low-alkali levelling compound, which reduces the risk of damage in the covering or adhesive due to excess alkaline moisture. Smooth the joints in wooden and board floors and make required preparations, if needed.

Stir the adhesive before use, if needed, and apply in an even coat onto the surface using a fine notched trowel. Use the wet bonding method: press and rub the covering immediately onto the surface after adhesive application. If the covering is stiff or has to be bended to fit constructions, allow the adhesive to stand for 10–20 minutes before pressing. When gluing dense covering onto totally non-absorbent substrates, let the adhesive stand for up to 60 min. before pressing it down or press the covering lightly onto the glued surface and then lift it up. Let stand for 20–30 minutes before pressing and rubbing the covering firmly onto the substrate. Remove fresh adhesive stains with water. Dried stains are removed with a strongly alkaline cleaner or xylene. Follow also the flooring manufacturer's installation instructions.

The dried adhesive surface and covering can be heat activated with a hot air gun: heat the glue as well as the covering and rub the covering onto the surface (t.ex. floorings bent on the walls in wet rooms and toilets). Remove adhesive stains while fresh with a clean, damp cloth or sponge. Dry adhesive can be removed with xylene.
