Working conditions

Normal room temperature, sufficient air humidity. Dry indoor air may cause too rapid surface drying and curling of wallpaper edges.

Instructions for use

Carry out work at the usual prevailing room temperature. Both the wallpaper and paste should be allowed to reach the room temperature. The surface must be dry, even, firm and clean. Remove old wallpapers and loose paint. Smooth and sand any irregularities. Prime or pre-paste highly absorbent substrates. Use of moisture-resistant, matt primer paint is recommended for priming and 1:40 mixed Kiilto Wall Eco for pre-pasting. Wash painted surfaces with, for example, Kiilto Maalarinpesu (painter's cleaner) and rinse well. If the old paint is glossy and non-absorbent, sanding will improve adhesion of the wallpaper. Remove sanding dust carefully. Before hanging the wallpaper ensure that the surface is dry. Moist wooden board shrinks while drying which may result in bubbles or ruptures in the wallpaper surface.

Strew the entire package contents (1 part) into water (24 parts), constantly stirring (for example, 250 g powder/6 l water). Let mature for 10–15 minutes. Stir for approx. 15 more seconds before use.

Apply paste evenly on the back of the wallpaper length. Fold both ends to meet in the middle with the paste side in and let wet for a couple of minutes. Unfold the upper end of the strip and start hanging from the ceiling line. Then unfold the lower half. Work from the middle towards the edges and brush out all bubbles. Avoid staining the wallpaper surface with the paste. Possible adhesive stains are removed instantly by pressing with a damp cloth or sponge. Vigorous rubbing may impair the surface, colour or gloss of delicate wallpapers. Follow primarily the wallpaper manufacturer's instructions.
