Kiilto dB Stop is a 3 mm thick floor underlay made of cork-rubber compound. Available in 500 x 500 mm sheets that are glued down to the subfloor. The subfloor must be solid; suitable coverings are ceramic tiles or engineered parquet. Suitable for homes and public areas (hotels, schools, offices, etc.) and similar dry indoor areas. Not for industrial floors or similar hard wear floors. The subfloor must be even enough, rigid and solid, as well as free from dust and other impurities. Suitable substrates are, for example, concrete and construction board. Rough and uneven floors are smoothed with suitable Kiilto floor levelling compound. The surface must be dry and the concrete's relative moisture below 85%.

Bring Kiilto dB Stop sheets to acclimatize into the room where they will be installed, and open the boxes at least 24 h before the installation. Sheets are glued down with Kiilto M1000 ECO floor and wall adhesive. Rub/roll the sheets firmly onto the substrate to press out all air and ensure proper bonding to the substrate. Sheets are laid in tight butt joint, so that no levelling compound or other materials that might affect the sound reduction performance will get into the joints.
Separate the area from vertical surfaces by using, e.g., strips cut out of Kiilto dB sheets. Strips can be installed to vertical surfaces with flooring adhesive. For inlets you can use, e.g., Kiilto Masa adhesive sealant. Pay extra attention to in- and outside corners.
Wait for 24 h before installing the floor covering. Minimum size of ceramic tiles is 20 x 20 cm. Suitable adhesive for installation is, for example, Kiilto Floorfix DF. Engineered parquet is glued down with Kiilto FlexSilan parquet adhesive.
