Instructions for use

In order to make the cleaning of the gluing rollers easier, it is recommended that the rollers are moistened with water before gluing. Apply adhesive as a uniform coat onto the board. Place the veneer onto the board and press together. The longer the open time, the higher pressing pressure is required.

If the adhesive amount applied is bigger than the recommended one, there may occur adhesive break through. Adhesive break through can discolour. Different stains adhere to a veneer in a different way and there may occur great colour variation in the staining results. For pieces bonded with Kestopress 3000 T adhesive we recommend water soluble stains. If solvent based stains are used, a test staining has to be carried out before starting serial production.

NOTE! Kestopress 3000 T is not suitable for cold pressing. Kestopress adhesive reacts even with a small amount of urea formaldehyde adhesive (1 %) forming a thick sponge. For this reason the application equipment (pump, hoses, roller) need to be washed very carefully prior to using Kestopress adhesive.
