KiiltoClean and Farmos join forces to be a leading Finnish company in the cleaning business
KiiltoClean Oy acquired all shares of Farmos Holding Oy with an agreement signed on 11.8.2010. KiiltoClean is a manufacturer of cleaning agents and surface care products for professional, industrial and household use. In addition to these its product range covers also cleaning machines and equipment. KiiltoClean is one of the Kiilto Family companies.
KiiltoClean is a strong expert in the cleaning business and has successfully brought the Kiilto brand cleaning products also to the consumer markets. Farmos is a renowned expert in professional cleaning, food hygiene chain, health care, laundries and industrial cleaning. Farmos has a strong market position in its focus areas in Finland, the Baltic Countries and Russia. Farmos is the only western company in the cleaning business, which has a production unit in Russia.
Through the acquisition Farmos and KiiltoClean merge to be an even stronger expert in the cleaning business providing comprehensive services to its customers. The merged company will continue its operations as KiiltoClean Oy from the beginning of the year 2011 on. In the future KiiltoClean's main brands will be Erisan, Serto, Linna, Erioil, Kiilto and Farmos. Customer operations and product range of both merging companies remain as before.
The merged KiiltoClean is more equipped to face the future challenges in the tightening competitive situation and grow to be an internationally strong actor in its field. After the merger KiiltoClean will be the market leader in the Finnish business to business hygiene market and even more important partner for the Finnish grocery trade. The merger creates also further opportunities to regionally strengthen responsible and sustainable production and supply chain. In the future KiiltoClean strives to be a leading player in the Russian and the Baltic markets.
Whole Farmos's personnel will be transferred to Kiilto Family Companies as old employees. The merged company will employ about 310 persons, one third of which outside Finland. KiiltoClean's Managing Director from 11.8.2010 on will be Mr. Juha Saarinen. KiiltoClean Oy's present Managing Director, Mr. Vesa Nurminen, will be appointed as the company's Commercial Director responsible for business activities in Finland. Mr. Nurminen will also be the deputy for the Managing Director.
